Many times with OCD, it seems like no matter how hard you try, a rational view on any situation is just not feasible. OCD creates a shade which often times alters the way we percieve the world and different situations. Suddenly, saying good bye to your mom as she leaves to go out for the night, becomes a whole ordeal rather than a quick kiss-if that. The only way to get past OCD is to outsmart the monster. Instead of giving into this evil shade that OCD creates, we need to pick out our own shades. A fashionable pair of shades. Don't let OCD get the best of you. Whatever OCD is capable of controlling, you can control so much more. If OCD can create a shaded view of the world, you too can create a shaded view- a shaded view of what YOU want to see. Not the OCD. Next time OCD is getting the best of you, put on your shades see/interpret your world~ not the world created for you.
